Whether you are starting from scratch or refining an existing layout, our design team helps turn your measurements into a functional cabinet plan built around your space.
Below is a step-by-step overview of how Lanae’s free design service works, what to expect, and how to move from design to delivery with confidence.
Step 1: Submit Your Free Design Request
All design requests are submitted through Lanae’s Free Design Submission Form, which can be found directly on our website.
When submitting your request, be sure to include:
Accurate room measurements
Appliance sizes and placement
Notes about doors, windows, cabinet colors/style, or layout preferences
Include any specific feature of your home that would interfere with cabinet placement.
Because Lanae is not physically present at your project location, we rely on customers to provide accurate measurements. Always double-check measurements before submitting, as they are the foundation of your design.
Step 2: Receive Your Design Confirmation Email
After submitting the form, you should receive a confirmation email containing:
A reference number specific to your design
Confirmation that your request has been received and sent to the design team
Important: Please reply to this confirmation email.
Replying lets Lanae know that:
You are receiving our emails
Communication can continue smoothly
If you do not see the confirmation email, please:

Review cabinet sizes and placements carefully
If you are working with a contractor or installer, we strongly recommend having them review the design as well. Contractors and installers can help be the final verifiers of measurements and spacing.
Step 5: Request a Quote
Once your design is approved, you may request a quote. Quotes can be provided as:
Estimate Quote: For budgeting and planning
Finalized Quote: Required to complete a purchase
To generate a finalized quote, the following information is needed:
Shipping address
Billing address

Step 6: Approve the Quote and Complete Your Purchase

If you choose to place your order directly through the website instead of using the e-invoice, it is important to ensure no items are missed that may not appear on the design, such as:

Step 7: Delivery Lead Times
Delivery times depend on the size and type of order:
FedEx Shipments:
If items are in stock, delivery typically takes 3–5 business days
Freight Orders:
Require a delivery appointment scheduled between the freight carrier and the customer
Delivery typically takes 1.5 to 2 weeks from the time of purchase
It is important to note however that if ordering during the holidays deliver lead times may alter.
Step 8: Installing Your Cabinets
When installing your cabinets:
Keep cabinets in their boxes until ready to build
Be sure to only open and assemble one cabinet at a time
This helps keep your project organized and allows our customer service team to assist more efficiently if questions arise.
Final Step: Share Your Finished Project
Once your kitchen is complete, we would love to see it.
