Before You Click Checkout: A Smart Guide to Reviewing Your Lanae Cart
Designing your space with Lanae cabinets is an exciting step, but before completing your purchase, it is important to take a few extra minutes to review your cart. A careful final check helps ensure your cabinets install smoothly, look finished, and include everything you need to bring your design to life.
Double Check Color Matching Components

If you are purchasing any cabinet color other than Pure White, it is essential to include matching side skins and toe kicks in your cart. Reminder, if you are purchasing multiple Pure White cabinets that will sit beside each other, you will want to purchase a toe kick for a seamless look. Our side skins come in a variety of sizes and are specified as either a base skin, wall skin or pantry skins. These components create a seamless, built in look and ensure exposed areas match the rest of your cabinetry.
Decorative panels also require a matching side skin unless you are choosing Pure White. Skipping these items can result in unfinished ends or visible mismatched areas once installation begins. For our decorative panels come in both standard and slim shaker and are specified as either base decorative panel or wall decorative.

Don't Forget Fillers for Proper Spacing and Gaps
Fillers play a critical role in both function and appearance. They are used to close gaps, allow doors and drawers to open properly, and provide the clearance needed for hardware.
Be sure to plan for spacing at walls and corners. If you are not using hardware, a minimum of 1/4" of space is required between the wall and the cabinet. If you plan to add hardware, you will need at least 1.5" inches of spacing.
Lanae fillers are available in widths of 1.5 inches, 3 inches, and 6 inches, with lengths of 42 inches and 94 inches. Adding the correct fillers now prevents delays and adjustments later.
Understand Your Cabinet Stacking Options

When stacking cabinets, there are three suggested methods to ensure a clean and professional finish.
The first option is to stack cabinets directly and order a side skin large enough to cover the seam along the side.
The second option is to place a stacker plate between the cabinets. In this case, side skins must cover both above and below the stacker plate.
The third option is to stack cabinets directly, apply side skins to the appropriate cabinet sections, and cover the seam with batten moulding for a decorative finish.
Choosing the right method depends on your design style and cabinet layout, but planning for it in advance is key. If you are choosing to stack your cabinets, don't forget our stacker plates and to check for the appropriate sizing for your project.

Island and Back Panel Considerations

For islands, make sure you are purchasing large side skins to fully cover the back of the island. Any seams between skins should be covered with batten moulding, and all exposed corners should be finished with outside corner moulding. These details make a significant difference in the final appearance of your island. For additional guidance regarding islands. Don’t Forget About Crown Moulding

We offer a variety of moulding options to help complete your kitchen design, including crown moulding and light rail moulding. However, in some situations, filler can also be used as a flat moulding alternative to achieve a clean, seamless look, especially where minimal trim is preferred or custom sizing is needed.
Check Out Lanae's Sink and Faucet Collection

When planning your kitchen with Lanae Cabinetry, sinks and faucets are key components that should be reviewed carefully before completing your purchase. These elements not only impact the look of your space, but also play a major role in daily functionality. Taking a moment to double check your cart can help prevent missing items and unnecessary delays.
Lanae sinks are available in apron sink style or undermount, allowing you to choose the option that best fits your kitchen design and workflow. Both styles are offered in gold, nickel or stainless steel, and charcoal with midnight black accessories, making it easy to coordinate with your cabinetry and hardware selections. To enhance both convenience and performance, Lanae provides a wide range of sink accessories with every sink that is designed to fit perfectly with the sink’s built in ledge.

Faucets are sold separately from sinks and feature a pull down sprayer for added versatility. Lanae faucets are available in three styles: Genesis, Sienna, and Newport Chef’s Faucet. Finish options include nickel/stainless steel, gold, and midnight black, depending on the style selected.
For an extra sophisticated and functional upgrade, consider adding a Lanae pot filler. Pot fillers are available in gold, nickel or stainless steel, and midnight black, making them a perfect complement to your sink and faucet selection.
Review Accessories Carefully

Many requested accessories do not always appear in provided designs, so it is important to confirm they are included in your cart before checkout. Commonly overlooked items include rollout tray, toe kick drawers, drawer organizers (custom insert or two-tier cutlery drawer), trash bins, and decorative feet. These overlooked items provide simple and effective ways to not only upgrade your space but also increase the organization and flow of your home.

Before completing your purchase, it’s essential to thoroughly review both your layout and your shopping cart. Make sure all necessary accessories, moulding, filler pieces, side skins, and toe kicks required to complete your space are included. Missing any of these items can result in additional expenses. It’s also crucial to triple-check all your measurements to ensure everything will fit perfectly. Taking the time to confirm every detail helps ensure a smooth, stress-free installation and a finished space that looks and functions exactly as planned.
