Freight Delivery with Lanae
When ordering cabinets or larger products, freight delivery is the most reliable way to ensure your order arrives safely and efficiently. At Lanae, freight shipping allows most or all of your cabinetry to be delivered all at one time, helping keep your project organized and on track. All orders over $2,500 ship free, making freight delivery a cost effective option for larger projects.
Order Confirmation and Shipping Notifications
After placing your order with Lanae, you will immediately receive an order confirmation email from info@lanaehome.com. For smaller deliveries that ship via FedEx, tracking information will be emailed to you from info@lanaehome.com as soon as your shipping label has been created. This will serve as your shipping confirmation email and provide an ETA of your FedEx delivery at your door.
For larger orders that ship via LTL freight, tracking information will be sent from a sender called “My Carrier.” This email contains important information about your shipment and should be saved for reference.
Understanding Freight ETA and Terminal Arrival
It is important to note that the estimated delivery date shown in the freight tracking email reflects the date your order is expected to arrive at the destination terminal. This is not the date the shipment will arrive at your home.
Once your freight order arrives at the destination terminal, the freight carrier will contact you by phone using the number provided at checkout. During this call, you will schedule a delivery date and time. This scheduled delivery is an agreement between you and the freight carrier for when your shipment will be delivered to your curb.
Curbside Freight Delivery Explained
Lanae’s freight deliveries are curbside deliveries. This means the freight carrier is only authorized to deliver your shipment to the curb or end of the driveway. Freight carriers do not have permission to enter your property, garage, or home. This rule is strictly enforced by freight companies for safety and liability reasons.
Because cabinets are heavy and boxed, we strongly recommend arranging help in advance to move your delivery once it arrives.
Signature Required and Missed Deliveries
All freight deliveries require a signature from the purchaser to complete delivery. If you are not available on the scheduled delivery date, it is your responsibility to contact the freight carrier directly to reschedule.
Please keep in mind that destination terminals are not storage facilities. If cabinets are not accepted and delivered within 3-5 days, the destination terminal will apply storage fees which will be applied to the customer or return the shipment to Lanae. Returns are subject to our return policy.
Inspecting Your Freight Order
When your shipment arrives, it is very important that you don't refuse delivery. Inspect all boxes and take note of any visible concerns or incorrect SKUs. Document with clear photos.
Any concerns can be submitted to customerservice@lanaehome.com. It is important to accept all deliveries regardless of concerns so our team can work quickly to resolve the situation. Refusing a shipment can lead to delays and may limit our ability to identify and resolve the concern, as the source becomes more difficult to determine once a shipment is rejected.
